Fire Station Fun

Parker had his very first field trip last Tuesday.  His class, along with 2 others from kindergarten, went to the local fire station and to the park.  The weather was perfect.  You never know what September in Alabama will bring, but it had cooled off considerably from the high 90's we had been experiencing.  Everett and I tagged along to both places, and I think Everett might have even been a little more excited than Parker about the fire trucks!  Almost as cool as seeing the fire trucks, was getting to ride the school bus!  Parker was so excited to do this, and he got to sit with his friend Sam from the zebra class.  We had a great day and can't wait until the next trip!

Ready to load the bus

Alligators are ready for the day!

Parker and Maggie listening to fire safety rules.

Alligator boys

All the alligators with the fire chief.

They even got to use the fire hose!

Everett wanted to drive it.
Big surprise there.

They showed the kids what a fire fighter would look like if they came into a house to rescue someone.

Then, the teachers got to go for a ride.
The kids all loved this part of the field trip.!

Lunch at the park.
Even though I packed Everett a lunch, he insisted on stealing from Parker!
