Pumpkin Patch, Trip #2

This time it was Mia's 3rd grade class that we followed to the patch.  It just happened to fall on her birthday, so she was very glad to be out of the classroom on this day!  Notice we're in jeans and (some) long sleeves this time.  It's starting to cool off just a little bit.  We played, fed baby animals, and picked pumpkins.  Everett went with us this time, and he loved the hay ride and the animals.  Mia has always loved the petting zoo, so she quickly found some baby bunnies.  We left right before lunch to take the birthday girl to Subway, but we had a good time as usual out at Isbell's Pumpkin Farm!

 Bull riders

I was taking pics of the kids on this giant trampoline, only to notice Mia's
sock with the heel COMPLETELY WORN OUT!  Total mom fail!!

Everett loved all the farm babies . . .

. . . but not as much as his sister!

Look how interested the back 3 are in the pioneer life.
Yes, one of them is mine!

These are our sweet neighbors and friends Aidan and his mom Shanna.
I took this one of them on the way back to the hay ride . . .

. . . and Everett took this one by himself.
I kind of like his better!

Amelia's 9th

Yesterday was Mia's 19th 9th birthday.  Her life is so fabulous already it's always hard to think of something fun for her special day!  Her daddy to her out on Sunday to Huntsville and let her shop, so she loved that.  They had a good time, and I think spent a lot of time drinking milkshakes!  They did replace her ipod and get some new clothes too.  We woke her up for her favorite breakfast yesterday (chocolate gravy, biscuits, eggs, and bacon) and then she got ready for school.  Yesterday her class went to the pumpkin patch and we checked her out afterwards to grab some lunch.  She was very glad that they had a "fun" day instead of regular school!  After lunch we went to Publix and she picked out her cake and ice cream.  We cooked tacos for dinner and Nana & Grandma joined us.  Happy 9th bday Amelia Claire!

I got a few pics like this texted to me from Huntsville, just to make sure what she was picking was "ok".

She loves it when her brothers sing to her!

Jeremy's 34th

Jeremy's birthday was October 22nd, which gives me approximately 2 months of being married to an "older man".  He always asks for the same thing for dinner on his birthday.  Chicken and dressing made by my mom.  I've tried to reproduce this dish, and he said it just wasn't the same.  I guess I'll be paying closer attention in the coming months as she makes it for the holidays.  We had dinner with the cousins at Nana and Pop's house.  We had chocolate, chocolate Alabama cake, presents, and a photo booth.  The kids ran around outside and played most of the night, but I did get a couple of pics before they went wild.  Carley even came home from school to celebrate her favorite brother in law's day.  Not really, but that's what he tells people.  The girls made him cards that were all about germ-x, washing hands, and germs, which he loved.  Parker's card was all about LSU beating Alabama.  Parker loves to kid him about football.  We always have a great time together, but it's even more fun when there's a birthday involved.  Happy 34th Jeremy!
