Pep Rally

The schools take turns attending the high school pep rallies, and today was McBride's turn.  We took pizza and cupcakes to Mia's class for lunch and painted their hair and faces for the big afternoon.  The kids love getting to go, which is funny because the high school kids that are there look like they'd rather be back in class.  When I was in high school we used the Friday pep rally as a platform to make total fools of ourselves.  We cheered and danced around like crazy people and had the best time.  I guess these kids are just too cool or too busy.  Of course our football team hardly ever won a game back then, and these days they are ranked #1.  Not that it should matter, but good grief, have a little fun and don't be afraid to smile every now and then!  Anyway, our 3rd graders had a blast, and I hope they continue to do so for a long, long time!

These girls are ready to cheer for the Trojans!

Note the crowd of teenagers standing perfectly still in the bleachers
